Joe Jackson autograph signed by wife, Kate PSA certified

This is a very nice lined 3x5 index card signature signed by the wife of Cleveland and White Sox star, Joe Jackson. Its dated 1951, the year that Joe passed away.

In response to fan requests for Joe's autograph, Kate would sign Joe's name and return these to the fans, most of whom were not aware that Joe was illiterate and only signed his name on a few very rare occasions, like legal documents. And other than spending five to six figures on the very rare occasions that an actual TPA certified Joe Jackson autograph does come to market, this is the closest you can ever get to owning a real Joe Jackson autograph. "Shoeless Joe" Jackson is legendary and would be a certain Hall of Famer except for his part in the 1919 World Series. Whether or not he will eventually get a plaque in Cooperstown now that his name has been removed from the list of ineligibles is speculative. He would have to get nominated by the Eras Committee and would have to get 12 of 16 votes to be in.

So, his chances have gone from zero to possible. If Joe Jackson gets into the Hall of Fame the value of this autograph will skyrocket. Personally, I would love to see Joe Jackson get into Cooperstown. After all, it is a Hall of Fame, not a Hall of Saints, and none can argue that Joe was, and remains, famous.

Joe was banned along with the other White Sox conspirators after the 1920 season. Joe was 32 and had almost 1800 hits and a career.

It is likely that had Joe been able to finish his career, he could have gotten over 3,000 hits and had an average over. Only 7 other players in the history of baseball have managed to do that.

Joe passed away in 1951, and Kate passed away in 1959.
