1991 Bo Jackson Game Used Issued Bat Chicago White Sox Royals Signed! JSA LOA
For your consideration is an extremely rare 1991 Bo Jackson gamer! This bat was issued to Bo early in the 1991 season while still on the Royals roster. What makes this unique is that there are only a handful of bats in existence with the Royals nameplate on the barrel for Bo has the previous years Louisville slugger did not put the team name under the name. 1991 was the first year, Bo never played for the Royals and his subsequent orders had the White Sox stamped on them. He was ultimately released and signed by the White Sox as it appeared his hip injury would prevent him from playing that season and possibly ever again. Bo brought this bat with him to the White Sox and signed it with his number 8 he wore with the Sox.
The bat was authenticated for the signature by JSA and will come with the paperwork for verification. The bat was also authenticated as being a pro model bat for Bo. Please see photo of PSA sticker and verification. You can verify the sticker by looking it up via verification as I did. I cant attribute any of the marks to a ball mark, seam mark etc...
The knob has been blacked out as well. I would assume that could be due to the bat having his old number with the Royals put on before going to the Sox.
